My book jacket!

I've been dying to post this for WEEKS and just got the okay. So it's official. This is my cover. Do you love it? I do!

(for larger view, click on image, and then click again in lower right corner)

(Edited to add: my 13-year-old informs me that you only need to do that lower right corner click on Internet Explorer. "Firefox is way easier," says he. Live and learn.)

P.S. You can now leave a comment on my blog even if you don't have a blogger account.

It looks great! With a cover like that (not to mention the writing), this book is going to fly off the shelves!

Thanks, my friends! As you know, I was resistant to the pink at first, but it's grown on me. I really like it!

Wow! It looks great!!! Do you know who the designer is? And I like the pink too.

Love it! Kitchy, eye-catching and fun.

Susan, Liz, Steph and Tish ... appreciate the support! So happy you stopped by.

Steph - I think it was designed by someone in house at Morrow. I'll try to find out for sure. Pretty sure the illustrator is freelance and lives in the U.K.

Fun cover, Ellen. Love it!

It seems like there's a comic book revival right now. Stephen King is doing Dark Tower with Marvel Comics, for instance. Comic book themes keep popping up lately. Very retro and campy.

I think it's clear you should feather your bangs like Madonna for the tour!

Best of luck!

Congrats, Ellen. This makes it all real. Wow! I can only imagine how cool it must feel to finally see the book jacket.

It does look like Desperite Housewives.

Love the cover, Ellen! I can't wait to see it in person!!

Thanks Robin, Julie and Kat!

Robin, did you see the cover of Maureen Dowd's new book? It uses the kind of kitchy artwork that looks like something that would have illustrated a short story in a women's magazine from the 50s. I think you're right--there's a movement afoot!

Wow, it's great. I had a good laugh over the title, too. So many books I need to read . . . and here I sit watching Funny Farm. :~)

It's beautiful, Ellen! Cool, campy, ironic and eye-catching all rolled into one. Reminds me of the old Brenda Starr Reporter comics: http://www.comicspage.com/brendastarr/brenda_characters.html

And of course, pop art!

Yes, yes, yes, very fabulous!

Robin, hope you enjoyed Funny Farm. :)
