Thanks, Ellen! Great tip about the "S" word...Occasionally I get in that mindset of 'DO NOT USE THIS WORD', but what you say makes great sense!

Great tips! Thank you Ellen. I will keep these in mind as I edit.

My challenge seems to be the monumental back story and how it has integrated into the dialogue as well as the narrative. It makes for long-winded dialogue and that is something that I need to remedy.
